SPRING IS IN THE AIR

While news headlines are still dominated by all things Coronavirus, we're doing our best to make lockdown and working from home taste good by roasting tasty coffee.

To keep things interesting, we have introduced a few new coffees over the last weeks and have some goodies up our sleeve which we will be dropping throughout the coming months.

Our awesome Vertical Coffee Family Members aka our stockists are proof of how life does go on despite curveballs being thrown at them in these difficult times. Read on for more!

NEW COFFEES ON THE SHELF

We launched a few new coffees in the past weeks!

  • Burundi Yandaro Filter Roast

This fruity and punchy filter coffee replaced Mugirampeke and lives on the same street so to speak. We love it as a classic pourover filter using a brew ratio of 60g per liter and a very high water temperature - just off the boil. This will eek out as much of the lively acidity as possible!

  • Queen K Espresso

Our motivation booster for a tough day is back! This season it comes from a cooperative in Chiapas, Mexico and is organic certified. We love this coffee as a neat single or double espresso which really highlights its chocolate and toffee notes.

  • Ethiopia Koke natural Espresso

The successor of the Arsosala natural Espresso boasts the same creamy strawberry flavor profile and makes for a fantastic milk beverage like a cappuccino, flat white or macchiato.

We'll soon be mixing things up with some smaller coffee lots which we'll be rotating more frequently while keeping the existing structure of our portfolio as it is. That way, we can let you explore more of the world of coffee.

THE VERTICAL COFFEE FAMILY

Despite things being rather unpredictable at the moment, our stockists are doing a fantastic job in dodging the curveballs being thrown at them and turning obstacles into challenges and transforming those challenges into opportunities.
So why not spend one of the coming holidays exploring the beautiful Berner Oberland and lodging in Interlaken at The Aarburg? They offer a range of different rooms, sleeping from 1 to 5 people - so also well suited for families. Tim and Kat, the hosts, are real adventure and outdoor pros and will have some cool suggestions for any type of excursion. And most importantly, you're sure to enjoy some fantastic food and tasty coffee!
Or how about drinking your cappuccino from an ice cream cone? At Kafi'N'Cones, upcycling coffee cups is tasty business: you get to eat the chocolate-coated cone waffle your cappu was served in! Their second pop-up location at Sasu Juicebar on Gasometerstrasse 26 in 8005 Zurich is opened Friday/Saturday/Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
These are only a few members of the growing Vertical Coffee Family. Check out the links below to find a stockist near you!
