Newsletter December 2021 - English

SEASON'S GREETINGS

In our third and last newsletter of the year we would first of all like to thank you for joining us on this wonderful coffee ride.
Thank you so so much for enjoying our coffees and spreading the Vertical Coffee love!

ROAST SCHEDULE UPDATE

no roasting on December 27th

We will be taking a short break from roasting between Christmas and New Year's and will be skipping the usual #mondayroastday of December 27th.

Our last roasting day of the year will be on December 20th - in time to get all the tasty beans to you before Christmas (domestic orders). Be sure to order until Sunday Midnight to have your order included!

On January 3rd 2022 we'll kick off the fresh year with tasty roasting and go back to the regular schedule of roasting each Monday.

Holiday Coffees

are here and they are tasty!

Our Christmas Espresso is a punchy washed Red Bourbon from the Nyaruzina Farm on Lake Kivu in Rwanda. It's blackberry and vanilla custard flavor notes make it a season favourite on its own or with milk.

Like in past years, our Christmas Filter is a natural processed Ethiopian. This year it's from the Wolichu Wachu washing station in Guji and has all the strawberry flavors we'd wish for as well as a full, creamy body.

No matter if you're on team espresso or team filter - you surely will light up your day with one of these season specials!

CLASSIC FILTER

Here to stay for a bit longer is our new filter coffee from Kenya. A quintessential coffee representing what we love about Kenyan coffees: That standout flavor of black currant and a lively but well balanced and juicy acidity. It's a classic!

BUNDLES & GIFT IDEAS

Christmas is approaching fast and if you're looking for a gift, a stocking stuffer or something to treat yourself - you may want to have a look at our bundles.

We've got some neat combos including coffee, merchandise like ear-warming beanies, cool casquettes or coffee cups for in- and outdoors, Veloforte nutrition products or coffee making gear like the AeroPress.

BREWING UP A TASTY STORM

Many coffee-lovers also have a soft spot for other artisanal and crafty food & beverage products and we ourselves are no exception: We love to dive into the complexities of natural wine or a fine craft beer. So, when we were approached by Martigny-based craft beer brewery White Frontier to come on board for a collab, the decision was a no-brainer.
We will be roasting some specially prepared coffee which they will then incorporate into their brew. Although we can't wait to pour the first glass, we will have to be patient as most tasty things take time. The final brew will be ready at the start of the new year so let's just stay tuned!
